Hello, I’m Emily - I help organisations gain visibility, attract new audiences and grow. Formerly based in London, Sydney and Hakusan (Japan), I’m now firmly planted in Brighton. I work with creative agencies, SMEs, non-profits, charities and teams within larger organisations on their branding and communications strategy.

I have over 15 years’ professional brand, communications and marketing experience, including across destination marketing and charitable campaigns. I’ve worked for brand, digital and PR agencies and I’ve been in house at big brands such as BT.

Published journalist

Alongside my consultancy work, I'm a published journalist and senior copywriter with bylines in bylines in The Guardian, The Standard, Fit & Well, Cotswold Life and other owned media sites, including Cathay Pacific.

A global perspective

Having lived and worked in Japan, Australia, Vietnam and France, I'm adept at navigating different cultures, audiences and markets - and at helping organisations communicate across them with clarity and confidence.

For two years in Japan, I worked with Japanese, British and American organisations, including as a lead consultant on a government-commissioned tourism campaign, where I delivered messaging, content and localisation strategy.

How I can help

I help clients get clear on who they are and what they stand for - then develop the identity, messaging and communications strategies to match. I help them tell their stories and get in front of the right audiences at the right time.

That might mean working on overall brand strategy, a specific campaign, tone of voice, SEO, award submissions, thought leadership, social strategy, or sourcing speakers and sponsors for events.
