I developed messaging frameworks and produced content for Action4Youth’s communications, taking ownership of its social channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter). I also created and delivered a communications and content plan designed to increase engagement, grow reach and support fundraising and donations.
Website copywriter and localisation and communications consultant, Visit Kaga
I worked in partnership with a Japanese creative agency to advise on and deliver destination marketing content designed to position Kaga for an international audience.
Alongside producing SEO-optimised web copy and a series of in-depth editorial articles on cultural practices, food and key destinations, I provided strategic guidance on messaging, tone and localisation. This included advising on how best to relay cultural concepts to non-Japanese audiences and make content accessible, culturally accurate and aligned with international expectations.

As part of a wider campaign to promote Ishikawa, Japan, I was commissioned to support the development of a travel brochure encouraging road trips across the region.
As a local expat, I led on the descriptive copy for multiple destinations and experiences, shaping messaging to appeal to a global audience while maintaining regional character. Alongside copy development, I reviewed and proofed translated content, advising on clarity, tone and cultural nuance to ensure consistency and accessibility for international readers.

I collaborated with British garden designers Keltie & Clark to create an impactful website that highlighted their work and brand identity. I worked closely with designers, advising on content structure and making strategic use of keywords to improve SEO performance and the brand’s online presence.

I developed a series of promotional articles on Kanazawa city as part of a proposal to the Taiwanese tourist board.
